Think of the drain plug as an optional helper! In most cases, you can leave it right where it is.

However, on those brutally hot and humid summer days, your Windmill Lite works overtime pulling moisture out of the air. If the bottom pan fills up, you might start hearing a distinct swooshing or splashing sound - which is normal!

If that happens, you can easily drain the excess water:

• Step 1: Carefully reach to the back of the AC unit.

• Step 2: Gently pull out the rubber drain plug to let the water release.

• Step 3: Pop the plug right back in when it’s done.
