Does the Windmill AC come with a warranty?Updated 12 days ago

Yes! Your AC comes with a limited one-year warranty. If you'd like, you can add an extended warranty through our warranty partner, Mulberry, at checkout when shopping on our website.

We want to make sure you get the best experience and performance from your window AC. One important factor is choosing the correct BTU rating for your room size. If the unit is too large or too small, it may not operate efficiently—and in some cases, using a unit outside of the recommended room size range could impact warranty coverage. We always recommend checking the BTU sizing guide from the AC specs page to ensure the right fit for your space. If you need help choosing, contact our support team and we’d be happy to assist! 

Our ACs are designed, tested, and certified specifically for standard single- and double-hung windows — the kind that slide up and down. Installing your Windmill in any other type of window (like casement, awning, or slider styles) might seem doable, but it can lead to a few issues we can’t cover under warranty:

• Safety: Non-standard windows can’t hold the unit securely in place — which can lead to tilting, falling, or leaks.

• Performance: The airflow and drainage systems are engineered for a precise angle and seal. Other setups can cause the unit to work too hard or drain incorrectly.

• Certification: Our safety and efficiency certifications only apply when the AC is installed as designed.

To make sure your Windmill runs safely, efficiently, and stays covered, always install it in a standard single- or double-hung window using the included installation kit.

In short: keep it installed with the 1 degree tilt in the correct window, keep it safe, and keep it cool — that’s how you stay covered.
